The propietary HiLume ultra-clear, index-matched multi-coating used on the XTR riflescope has been enhanced with new StormCoat. The ultra-low-surface tension coating causes water to form into tighter beads and slide off the glass, leaving more "clean" surface through which to clearly see your target. The enhancement is exclusive to Burris XTR scopes.

The Ballistic Mil-Dot reticle enhances a standard Mil-Dot with a unique Burris design on the lower crosshair that automatically compensates for bullet drop. The calibration marks allow dead-on aiming from 100 to 600 yards for most common flat-shooting rifle cartridges. The additional Mil-Dot quadrants can be used to gauge distance and help compensate for wind drift.

The XTR Burris scope tubes are 30mm, resulting in 25% thicker main tubes and 42% more strength. Double-force coil spring suspension locks the inner tube in place for unfailing accuracy.
